Google Meet

How to use Google Meet links in Calendox calendar events.

Google Meet links are generated automatically for events synced to Google Calendar — no separate connection step is required if you have already connected a Google account.

How it works

When you create an event in Calendox and select Google Meet as the meeting provider, Calendox uses your connected Google Calendar API access to generate a Meet link and attach it to the event. The link appears in Google Calendar for all attendees.

Prerequisites

  • A Google Calendar connected in Calendox (see Connect Google Calendar)
  • The event must be saved to a Google Calendar

Meeting Apps settings

Google Meet can be enabled from Dashboard → Settings → App → Meeting Apps. Toggle Google Meet on to make it available when creating events.

Settings App tab — Meeting Apps section showing Google Meet, Teams, and Zoom

Create an event with Google Meet

  1. Click Create Event in the calendar view.
  2. In the Meeting field, select Google Meet.
  3. Ensure the event's calendar is a Google Calendar.
  4. Save the event.

Calendox creates the Meet link via the Google Calendar API. The link is embedded in the event and visible to all invited attendees.

Limitations

  • Google Meet links can only be attached to events that are saved to a Google Calendar. If the primary calendar for the event is a Microsoft calendar, use Microsoft Teams instead.
  • Meet links cannot be generated for events that are only in Calendox's internal event store without a connected Google Calendar.
