This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies and browser storage Calendox uses, and the choices available to You. It applies to the Calendox website, dashboard, and public booking pages.
Please read this Cookie Policy together with our Privacy Policy, which describes the personal data We process and why.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Cookie Policy:

  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Danilix, the publisher of Calendox, established in Ajman, United Arab Emirates.
  • Service refers to Calendox, the calendar synchronization platform that keeps your connected calendars up to date and helps you manage your schedule in one place.
  • Cookies are small text files that a website places on Your Device, which the browser sends back on later requests so the website can recognise Your session or remember Your preferences.
  • Browser Storage means data a website keeps in Your browser’s local or session storage. Unlike cookies, it is not sent to Our servers with every request.
  • Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone, or a digital tablet.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for one purpose only: to make the Service work and to remember Your preferences. Calendox does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking, does not run advertising scripts, and does not sell or share cookie data with advertising networks. The one analytics tool We use, Microsoft Clarity on our public website pages, is configured to run without cookies (see Third-Party Cookies below).
Because We use only strictly necessary and preference cookies — and preference cookies are set only when You choose a setting — the Service does not show a cookie consent banner.

Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They are set only in response to actions You take, such as signing in or starting a connection to a calendar provider.

  • Session cookie: keeps You signed in and identifies Your authenticated session. It is HTTP-only, so scripts in the browser cannot read it, and it holds only a reference to Your session — never credentials or calendar data. It lasts about 7 days and is refreshed while You keep using the Service; it is removed when You sign out.
  • Sign-in and connection flow cookies: when You sign in or connect Google, Microsoft, or Zoom, short-lived HTTP-only cookies carry a random value that protects the flow against forgery. They last 10 minutes at most and are removed when the flow completes.
  • Subscription status cookie: a 5-minute, HTTP-only cookie that caches Your subscription status so the dashboard loads quickly without repeated lookups.
  • Bot-protection cookies (Cloudflare Turnstile): the public Contact form and public booking pages use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish real visitors from automated bots. Cloudflare may set cookies or Browser Storage of its own to run the challenge; these are governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Preference Cookies

These cookies remember choices You make in the dashboard so the Service can honour them on Your next visit. They contain only the preference value, do not identify You, and do not track Your activity on other websites.

  • Sidebar state cookie: remembers whether the dashboard navigation sidebar is expanded or collapsed. It lasts 7 days.

Browser Storage

In addition to cookies, the Service keeps a few preferences and working values in Your browser’s storage. None of them is sent to Our servers as tracking data:

  • Light or dark mode for the website and dashboard.
  • Onboarding progress, so You can resume account setup where You left off.
  • Calendar view preferences in the dashboard.
  • 12-hour or 24-hour time format on public booking pages.
  • Diagnostic session context kept in session storage by our error-monitoring library while a tab is open, so that error reports from the same visit can be linked together. It is cleared when You close the tab.

Third-Party Cookies

The only third party that may set cookies through the Service is Cloudflare, whose Turnstile bot protection runs on the public Contact form and on public booking pages. When You sign in with, or connect, Google, Microsoft, or Zoom, You are taken to that provider’s own consent page, which is governed by its own cookie policy. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, or any similar cross-site tracking technology.
Website analytics without cookies (Microsoft Clarity). Our public website pages — the marketing site, the documentation, these policy pages, the sign-in and sign-up pages, and the account setup wizard — load Microsoft Clarity, a website-analytics service operated by Microsoft, so We can see which pages are viewed, where visitors scroll and click, and, through masked recordings of page use, where the site is confusing. We run Clarity in its no-consent mode: every page tells it that cookie consent is denied, so it sets none of its first-party or third-party cookies, cannot recognise You between visits, and cannot link one page view to the next. Anything typed into a form field is masked in Your browser before it is sent, and the account setup wizard is masked in full. Clarity is not loaded in the dashboard or on public booking pages. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement.

How Long Cookies Last

The lifetimes above are the longest each cookie can last; Your browser may remove cookies sooner if You clear them or if it is set to do so. Flow cookies and the subscription status cookie expire within minutes. The session cookie expires about 7 days after Your last activity, or when You sign out. Preference cookies persist until they expire (up to 7 days) or until You delete them.

Your Choices Regarding Cookies

Most web browsers allow You to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting cookies and clearing Browser Storage. If You choose to block or delete the strictly necessary cookies described above, parts of the Service — including signing in, connecting calendars, and accessing Your dashboard — will not work correctly. Blocking preference cookies only means the Service will not remember Your choices between visits.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if We change the cookies the Service uses. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage You to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
